Molte persone invece aggiungono una "s" a "information" e questo perché nella nostra lingua normalmente si usa il vocabolo plurale "informazioni": "I need informations on overseas study programs." "Informationen über" ist die normale Wendung die man quasi immer benutzen kann. Es gibt aber durchaus viele Sprachsituationen in denen "Informationen zu" gebräuchlich und absolut idiomatisch ist:

Il punto è un'altro: a volte la parola information può essere tradotta come informazione e non solo come informazioni anche se non c'è " a piece of". I need that information as soon as possible. Mi serve quell'informazione/mi servono quelle informazioni al più presto. "A piece of" è corretto ma poco usato soprattutto nel parlato.
