I have previously bought the Maxcatch 8-piece travel rod and love it so I decided to buy the maxcatch single hand spey line yesterday. Cant wait for?

 

Forget reels Abel nippers are literally 300$ nail clippers with a ripped off graphic from the grateful dead? and they won the ?best new accessory? at IFTD this year. As a demographic Fly fisherman buy more overpriced garbage than anyone other than maybe golfers.

 

I?ve used both a maxcatch 6 1/2 foot 3wt travel rod and a 10 foot three weight nymphing rod. The travel rod is meh the nymphing rod is great. Have used the nymphing rod for years.

 

Anyone running the maxcatch predator rod? I was looking at it for the 2-3 times I fly fish at the coast mostly wading around NC and SC occasionally borrow a kayak or a friends boat.

 

I too am a big fan of budget tenkara rods Aventik & Maxcatch. And with replacement sections / segments / tip sets i have always reached out to them for replacement and they have always sent me the replacements.

So new to fly fishing and of course looking for a starter combo. Saw the Shakespeare CedarCanyon combo at Fleet Farm for $79. Is this combo a yay or?

 

How does the Shakespeare oracle switch 11 foot 8 weight stand against the Maxcatch 11 foot 8 weight I would like to know if any of the lads own or have used both these rods and which one is better. Whereas the maxcatch is $150 total and includes all the accessories (flies line case line holder). I'm also assuming that the Tenkara customs are made in china?

 

Reviews on Maxcatch gear on Amazon? I'm looking to buy some cheap gear from Amazon as backups to the more pricey gear I have. Amazon customers have given them good reviews but wondering if anyone here as experience. Thanks in advance!
